A film crew, comprising of two camera operators, and a group of fanatical fishing enthusiasts travelled to Arnhem Bay in the Northern Territory to capture on film some of the most spectacular fishing action experiences anywhere. The crew was based on mother ship ‘Auriga bay 2 operated by renowned Northern Territory charter operators ‘Top End Expeditions’. This air-conditioned vessel was in the experienced hands of owner Ian Murphy and Skipper, Paul Stanaway. Leaving Gove Harbour and heading into the pristine waters of ‘Australia’s Top End generated a sense of excitement for our enthusiastic team. Each day the film crew and anxious anglers headed out in two 7m Plate Aluminium Centre Cabin Boats in anticipation of capturing some of the most entertaining footage possible. Our team members from the tackle industry provide the latest top of the range tackle for this trip of a lifetime. Species such as Barramundi, Queen Fish, Trevally and a host of other fish were targeted on a wide variety of lures. Surface poppers, trolled, cast and retrieved sub-surface lures and a variety of soft plastic lures, not to mention fly fishing, which evoked some spectacular surface strikes.
