It is similar to the BL602 in the Pinenut from the Nutcracker challenge. The BL706 features Bluetooth Low Energy; so future IronOS releases will work to enable exposing features over Bluetooth Low Energy. One obvious future feature making use of BLE would be OTA firmware updates.
